About The Position

Cherry Bekaert is seeking an experienced Tax Partner to join its growing Tax Practice in Houston, Texas. The role leads a team delivering tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to middle-market businesses. A strong existing network in Houston is preferred.

The Tax Partner provides leadership and role-modeling for client service teams, including coaching, mentoring, and training managers and staff. The partner also contributes to practice growth by leveraging professional business contacts and referral sources and pursuing business development opportunities with other firm leaders.

Requirements

• Must have an active CPA license.
• Experience with complex federal taxation across corporate, partnership, and individual structures.
• Exceptional client service skills and a record of high-quality execution and delivery of client engagements.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills, including the ability to coach a client service team.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills for collaboration with partners and guidance to clients as a trusted advisor.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States; work sponsorship will not be provided.
