We are seeking a Tax Partner for our Private Client Services (PCS) practice to serve as an Administrative and Practice Operations Leader. This role is focused on overseeing key administrative, operational, and infrastructure functions of the PCS tax practice, including scheduling, performance management, compensation processes, and technology implementation. While based in the New York Metro area, this role operates on a national platform and partners closely with PCS leadership, regional tax partners, and firmwide functional teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • CPA, JD, or equivalent professional credential
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in public accounting
  • Prior experience as a Partner or senior Director/Managing Director
  • Demonstrated leadership in administrative, operational, or practice management roles

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Private Client Services or closely related tax practices
  • Experience leading large, multi-office initiatives or national programs
  • Exposure to technology-enabled tax platforms and operational transformation
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence partner-level stakeholders nationally

Responsibilities

  • Provide partner-level leadership over PCS administrative and operational matters, ensuring consistent execution of practice priorities
  • Lead PCS scheduling, resource planning, and capacity management efforts in coordination with practice and firm leadership
  • Oversee the PCS performance review and evaluation process, including calibration and leadership input
  • Play a central role in PCS compensation planning and execution, ensuring alignment with firm strategy and economics
  • Serve as a PCS leader for technology implementation, adoption, and process transformation initiatives
  • Drive standardization, efficiency, and scalability across PCS operational processes
  • Collaborate nationally with PCS, Tax, and firmwide leaders on strategic and cross-functional initiatives
  • Support governance, quality, and risk management efforts in partnership with Independence, Quality, and Risk teams
  • Mentor and develop partner and senior-level leaders across the PCS practice
  • In addition to the national responsibilities, the candidate will have an enhanced role in East Coast executive operations, including administrative directives to East Coast tax line partners
