Tax Manager - Private Client Services
About The Position
EisnerAmper is seeking a Tax Manager to join its Private Client Services (PCS) practice. The role oversees multiple client engagements, reviews complex tax returns, manages and develops staff, and conducts tax research. The position calls for strong leadership and the ability to foster professional growth among associates and senior team members. It is offered under EisnerAmper’s hybrid working model, with a preferred location in Baton Rouge. The PCS team serves family-owned and closely held businesses and high-net-worth individuals, helping them address short- and long-term financial goals. The firm emphasizes teamwork, creativity, accountability, proactive client service, and opportunities for employee development. EisnerAmper has approximately 450 partners and 4,500 employees worldwide.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent field.
- At least 4 years of tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience in public accounting or a public/corporate mix.
- CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent certification.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in Taxation or a relevant field.
- Experience using GoSystems or CCH Axcess tax software.
Responsibilities
- Train, supervise, and support the ongoing development of associates and seniors.
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Build impactful client relationships and maintain relationships with firm leadership.
- Develop and share specialized expertise aligned with firm niches, initiatives, and needs.
- Ensure accurate time and billing for self and team.
- Develop a working knowledge of client businesses, complete assigned tasks, and meet client deadlines.
- Solicit new client relationships and participate in client and prospective-client seminars to expand networking opportunities.
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and apply new knowledge to client engagements.
- Collaborate with other tax professionals to coordinate work, share knowledge, and deliver tax services efficiently and effectively.
- Hold self and direct reports accountable for achieving developmental goals.
- Mentor and coach junior team members.
- Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance technical knowledge and industry-specific expertise.
