Requirements

  • 5 years of relevant tax experience
  • 2 years of reviewing tax returns
  • CPA, EA or CPA eligible
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Good project management skills (ability to meet deadlines with agreed upon budget)
  • Professional attitude and ability to represent the firm brand
  • Team player that thrives in a collaborative environment

  • Industry experience in one of the firm's specializations a plus (Real Estate, Construction, Financial Services, High Net Worth Individuals, or Entrepreneurial Services)

Responsibilities

  • Lead client audit, tax, and/or advisory engagements.
  • Act as a team leader providing responsibility and oversight for project outcomes; set up and engage with teams and provide hands on direction.
  • Plan and execute audit, review, or tax engagements, including managing deadlines and budgets.
  • Supervise staff while ensuring technical compliance and timely service of delivery.
  • Act as an influential component of the team, making time to train and coach members, communicate feedback to senior and staff accountants.
  • Provide clear communication in setting expectations, identifying risk and managing project budgets.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the primary contact, managing expectations, and providing advice on accounting and business issues.
  • Become client's preferred advisor contact.
  • Participate in special projects as necessary.
  • Support senior mgmt. in pitching for new business and expanding existing client relationships.
