About The Position

A highly respected and growing public accounting firm is hiring a Tax Manager to join its Woodland Hills team in a client-facing leadership role. You'll combine advanced tax expertise with strategic advisory work, serving business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and leadership teams on sophisticated planning initiatives and complex transactional matters. Your technical depth, client relationships, and leadership will directly influence the firm's long-term growth. You'll gain exposure to complex advisory work including mergers and acquisitions, entity structuring, and high-level tax planning — not just compliance. You'll work closely with business owners and high-net-worth clients on impactful financial decisions. Requirements

  • Active CPA license required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience preferred
  • Strong expertise in tax provisions, consolidations, tax planning and strategy, and transactional tax matters
  • Experience across corporate, partnership, LLC, trust, and individual taxation
  • Background advising on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and entity planning
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills
  • Proven ability to manage engagements independently and mentor team members
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong networking and business development capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage and review complex tax engagements across corporations, partnerships, LLCs, trusts, and individual clients
  • Lead tax planning initiatives and develop long-term tax strategies for clients navigating sophisticated financial decisions
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, entity structuring, and restructuring strategies
  • Prepare and review tax provisions and consolidated filings
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing proactive financial guidance and strengthening relationships
  • Mentor junior staff and support their professional development
  • Contribute to practice growth initiatives, business development, and the firm's overall strategic direction
