About The Position

Jebran & Abraham, PC is seeking an experienced Tax Manager who can combine strong technical tax expertise with exceptional client service and team leadership. This is more than a return-review position. Our Tax Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee engagements, mentor and develop staff, and work closely with firm leadership to deliver the level of personalized service that distinguishes Jebran & Abraham. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Approximately 5-8+ years of progressive public accounting/tax experience
  • Significant experience with individual and closely held business taxation
  • Strong review experience with Forms 1040, 1065, 1120-S, and 1120
  • Demonstrated experience managing client relationships and tax engagements
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and state taxation
  • Experience with year-round tax planning and complex tax research
  • Previous experience reviewing and developing junior professionals
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to balance technical accuracy with practical, client-focused solutions
  • Comfortable taking ownership of engagements and working independently while collaborating with partners and team members
  • A leadership mindset and desire to contribute to the long-term success of the firm

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or EA designation strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of individual and small to medium-sized business tax clients
  • Oversee complex federal, state, and local tax engagements
  • Review individual, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns
  • Lead year-round tax planning and identify proactive strategies for clients
  • Research and resolve complex tax issues
  • Serve as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor for clients
  • Build a strong understanding of clients' businesses, financial positions, and long-term objectives
  • Review tax returns and workpapers prepared by associates and seniors
  • Provide clear technical guidance and constructive review feedback
  • Mentor, train, and develop Tax Associates and Tax Seniors
  • Help manage workflow, engagement deadlines, and staff assignments during tax season
  • Assist clients with federal and state tax notices, examinations, and other tax matters
  • Monitor tax law developments and communicate relevant changes to clients and team members
  • Collaborate with partners and firm leadership on complex engagements and client strategies
  • Identify opportunities to expand relationships and provide additional value to existing clients
  • Contribute to improvements in firm processes, efficiency, quality control, and team development
