About The Position

Our local client, a family-oriented public accounting firm, is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Tax Manager to join their team. This role will lead the delivery of tax services, ensuring high-quality work and effective client communication. This individual will oversee a team of bookkeepers and play a significant role in tax planning for their clientele. This is a remote optional role but must be within driving distance to Charlottesville.

Requirements

CPA certification required.
Minimum of 9 years of tax experience in a public accounting environment.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail.
Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly.
Demonstrated efficiency in tax preparation and planning.

Responsibilities

Lead Tax Work Delivery: Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulations and accuracy.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in tax workflows to enhance efficiency, capturing opportunities for increased productivity.
Client Correspondence: Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and inquiries, and providing strategic tax planning advice.
Collaboration: Work closely with individuals and small business owners to tailor tax strategies that align with their financial goals.
Technology Utilization: Leverage updated technologies to streamline processes and improve service delivery.
