As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and reviewing financial information for clients, such as business and individual tax returns, with the benefit of gaining exposure to a diverse client base operating in a variety of industries. The Tax Manager oversees client relationships, staff and leaders, to ensure high-quality work is delivered to our clients. This role involves the development and implementation of comprehensive tax planning strategies, managing a portfolio of tax engagements, supervising tax staff, and reviewing their work for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to firm standards. You will monitor engagement progress, budgets, and timelines, making adjustments as needed. The position requires staying abreast of evolving tax laws, regulations, and industry developments, applying this knowledge to client engagements and internal training. You will coordinate tax research, communicate complex tax concepts to clients, prepare presentations, and cultivate strong client relationships. Responsibilities also include reviewing and overseeing tax return preparation, managing filing deadlines, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. Collaboration with other tax professionals, supervising and mentoring staff, fostering a collaborative team environment, and participating in internal training are key. Additionally, you will identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, ensure compliance with internal quality control procedures, and collaborate on strategic business development, including proposal development and presentations to prospective clients.
