Tax Manager, Tax Accounting Services (ASC 740)
About The Position
Crowe has expanded its service offerings and is hiring for its Tax Accounting Services (TAS) within the Tax Function Solutions team. The TAS group provides a comprehensive suite of services including co-sourcing, outsourcing, advisory, and audit services to help management meet challenges. As a Manager in the national Tax Accounting Services practice, you will have the opportunity to review income tax provisions under ASC 740, document tax positions and analyses under FIN 48, coordinate subject matter experts, review taxable income by entity and consolidation, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, deliver professional services, develop high-level client relationships, manage client engagements, serve as a business advisor, research complex tax matters, work with state-of-the-art equipment for tax-efficient strategies, and work directly with clients, partners, and tax engagement teams. You will also lead, mentor, and coach interns, staff, and senior staff members.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Active CPA license required
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend
- Income tax provision (ASC 740) experience required
- Possess effective writing and communication skills
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision (OTP)
Nice To Haves
- Consolidated C-Corp with multi-state and multi-national experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Review income tax provisions under ASC 740 (income tax provision)
- Document tax positions and analyses under FIN 48
- Coordinate subject matter experts (international, state, and local, and M&A)
- Review taxable income by entity and consolidation
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Deliver professional services to clients, including consulting, tax planning, compliance, and research
- Develop high-level relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources, while performing detailed tasks on engagements
- Manage, direct, and monitor multiple client engagements as well as serve as a business advisor to the client
- Research and consult on complex tax matters
- Work with state-of-the-art equipment to assist clients with implementing tax-efficient strategies across all operations
- Work directly with clients, partners, and tax engagement teams
- Lead, mentor, and coach interns, staff, and senior staff members
