Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or related discipline
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting in taxation or equivalent experience
- Minimum 1 year in a managerial role involving clients and team members
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree in Taxation
- CPA or equivalent credential
Responsibilities
- Review and coordinate the preparation of tax returns for real estate investment funds, REITs, partnerships, and related investment structures.
- Advise clients on tax planning, compliance, partnership allocations, and transactional matters involving real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and restructurings.
- Review and research complex tax issues affecting real estate investment entities and prepare memorandums supporting conclusions.
- Manage client engagements by coordinating resources, monitoring engagement progress, and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Build relationships with investment managers, fund executives, and other stakeholders while identifying opportunities to expand client service offerings.
- Collaborate with professionals across the firm to deliver integrated solutions for real estate investment clients.
- Lead, coach, and mentor staff and seniors while fostering technical development and engagement success.
- Stay current on tax law developments and industry trends impacting REITs, real estate funds, and institutional investors.
