About The Position

CLA is seeking to hire a Tax Director or Manager to join their Eastern Ohio Tax team. This role offers the opportunity to work with clients and progress in one's career. The position is based in either the Canton or Akron offices and is an in-office role.

Requirements

A minimum of 6 years of experience serving in a tax role with a public accounting and/or professional services firm.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
An active JD, CPA, or EA certification.
A desire for a firm that will support and foster aspiring career goals.
A willingness to help others and join a team of high-performing people.
A knack for solving issues and confidently bringing solutions to the table.
A passion for working with clients to help their businesses succeed strategically.

Responsibilities

Consult with franchise ownership clients on business processes such as succession and tax planning.
Lead, schedule, supervise, and review tax engagements.
Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
Become an industry professional and attend industry-leading events and trainings.
Perform a range of tax procedures in accordance with the size and complexity of the engagement.
Review complex partnership, S-corp, pass-thru, and HNW personal tax returns.
