We have an exciting opportunity within our Private Client Tax Practice for a Tax Manager/Director specializing in Gift, Estate & Trusts. This position is open to candidates interested in joining our Western Washington CLA offices located in Bellevue, Lacey, or Tacoma. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact as a Gift, Estate, and Trust tax expert within our Private Client Tax team, providing a clear career advancement path to tax leadership within a leading national firm. You will also lead and mentor the local team of tax professionals specializing in Gift, Estate, and Trust services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field strongly preferred.
6 years of experience in professional accounting, finance, or related field required.
Experience in gift, estate and trust and individual tax planning and compliance, including working with HNW clients, is strongly preferred.
CPA required (EA or JD may be accepted in lieu of CPA certification).

Responsibilities

Develop strong client relationships by providing a comprehensive range of gift, estate, and trust tax planning and consulting services.
Offer planning strategies for minimizing estate taxes, business succession, and asset protection.
Review trust, estate, gift, and high net worth individual income tax returns.
Collaborate with CLA’s wealth advisory practice and other client-serving professionals.
Provide consultation services and technical expertise to clients and CLA professionals, increasing marketplace value.
Lead and help develop the existing local team of tax professionals specializing in Gift, Estate and Trust services.
