About The Position

Rust Belt Resources has partnered with a fast-growing, mid-sized regional public accounting firm with over 170 professionals and a expanding national client base. With established offices across the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast, the firm combines the resources and technical sophistication of a national practice with a flexible, people-first workplace culture. We are seeking experienced Managers and Directors to join the firm's Healthcare Tax practice, specializing in skilled nursing facility (SNF) clients. This position offers hybrid flexibility based out of offices in Lakewood, NJ (4 days in office). In this high-impact position, you will lead complex client engagements and tax teams, providing strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to clients in skilled nursing facilities and their ancillary entities. You will work directly with executive client leadership to shape strategic tax outcomes for a growing healthcare portfolio.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s in Taxation (MST) or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
• Active CPA certification required for Manager.
• 5+ years of progressive public accounting tax experience with demonstrated engagement management experience.
• Experience with middle-market flow-through entities (partnerships/LLCs) required.
• Proven track record of team leadership, engagement economics management, and client relationship building.
• Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and executive presence

Nice To Haves

• Strong background in healthcare tax (skilled nursing, long-term care, or senior living) strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex federal, state, and local income tax returns for partnerships, pass-through entities, corporations, trusts, and high-net-worth individuals within the healthcare space.
• Proactively identify tax efficiency opportunities, structure transactions, and present strategic planning solutions that deliver measurable value.
• Lead, manage, and mentor staff and senior tax professionals, fostering technical development, engagement efficiency, and career progression.
• Oversee multiple client engagements simultaneously, maintaining high-quality service standards, engagement economics, and timeline execution.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for business leaders and finance teams, providing proactive, solutions-oriented guidance year-round.
• Partner with firm leadership and cross-functional teams (including healthcare assurance and advisory) to deliver seamless client service.
