The Florida Department of Revenue’s General Tax Administration program collects the revenue that maintains the state’s infrastructure, funds schools, protects the environment, and much more. This is a Tax Law Specialist position in the General Tax Administration Program, Account Management Process. The incumbent provides guidance on Florida tax statutes and Department policies and procedures. The incumbent serves as a Business Process Project Manager and Tax Law Specialist for the Account Management Process, implementing strategic process improvement initiatives, and making decisions independently on issues related to the Process, the Department, and internal/external customers.

Requirements

Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
Three years of experience performing technical research related to Florida’s General Tax Administration Program.
Two years of experience answering taxpayer inquiries and complaints; and coordinating with tax coordinators or the Office of the General Counsel (OGC).
Two years of experience providing guidance on Florida tax statutes and Department policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Serves as a Business Process Project Manager and Tax Law Specialist for the Account Management Process.
Implements strategic process improvement initiatives.
Makes decisions independently on issues related to the Process, the Department, and internal/external customers.
