About The Position

We are currently seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Tax Department. Our tax team proactively services individuals and businesses to help clients minimize taxes and maximize growth. With ongoing continuing education, you’ll stay current on tax legislation to identify strategic tax planning opportunities for clients. As an Intern, you will prepare a variety of individual and business income tax returns, as well as perform relevant tax research. You will work with a variety of clients (within multiple industries) on their tax preparation and planning. You will be given the support you need to develop a breadth of skills and experiences that will enable you to achieve your goals. Requirements

Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting and/or 150 credit hours
Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
Completion of intermediate accounting course(s)
Completion of some Tax and/or Audit course(s) by time of internship
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Exemplary communication and organizational skills
Strong desire to learn and develop professionally
Motivated to serve clients
Desire to be a team player

Responsibilities

Prepare income tax returns (individual, partnership, multistate, corporate, and other)
Assist with quarterly planning
Opportunities to respond to a variety of inquiries from Federal and State taxing authorities
Tax research projects
Special projects as assigned
