About The Position

Lane Gorman Trubitt, LLC (LGT) is a middle-market regional public accounting firm founded in 1950 and located in the Uptown neighborhood of Dallas, Texas. Affiliated with PrimeGlobal, LGT has around 140 employees across assurance/audit, tax, accounting, and consulting services. The Tax Intern organizes and coordinates clients’ tax data to support accurate, timely completion of individual tax returns and simple to moderately complex corporate, partnership, S-corporation, and trust tax returns. The internship offers experience with multiple clients and industries, along with educational, professional, and social opportunities to support personal and professional growth. The position is in person for up to 40 hours per week. The estimated internship dates are January 10, 2028, to April 14, 2028.

Requirements

Be enrolled in a four- or five-year college or university accounting program.
Have completed Intermediate II by the time of the internship.
Communicate effectively with clients, taxing authorities, partners, and peers.
Possess basic knowledge of tax laws related to all types of reporting entities and taxing authorities.
Be able to work in person up to 40 hours per week.

Nice To Haves

Completion of a tax class is preferred.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual, trust and estate, corporate, S-corporation, and state and local tax returns.
Research a variety of tax issues.
Analyze and summarize tax information into workpapers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Organize and coordinate client tax data to support accurate, timely completion of tax returns.
