About The Position

Lane Gorman Trubitt, LLC (LGT) is hiring a Spring 2028 Tax Intern. The intern will organize and coordinate client tax data to support accurate and timely preparation of individual and simple to moderately complex corporate, partnership, S-corporation, and trust tax returns. The role offers experience working with multiple clients and industries at an established regional public accounting firm. The internship is in person, may require up to 40 hours per week, and is estimated to run from January 10, 2028, to April 14, 2028. LGT is a middle-market regional public accounting firm founded in 1950 and located in Dallas, Texas. It has around 140 employees across assurance/audit, tax, accounting, and consulting services. The firm describes educational, professional, and social opportunities to support staff growth and a family atmosphere.

Requirements

Be enrolled in a four- or five-year college or university accounting program.
Have completed Intermediate II by the time of the internship.
Effectively communicate with clients, taxing authorities, partners, and peers.
Possess basic knowledge of tax laws related to all types of reporting entities and taxing authorities.
Be able to work in person up to 40 hours per week during the estimated internship period, January 10, 2028, to April 14, 2028.

Nice To Haves

Having completed a tax class is preferred.
Experience with the Microsoft Office suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare individual, trust and estate, corporate, S-corporation, and state and local tax returns.
Research a variety of tax issues.
Analyze and summarize tax information in workpapers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
