About The Position

The Delaware North is seeking an intern to join our Corporate Tax Department in January 2027 at our Global Headquarters in Buffalo, New York. As an Intern, you will learn about Delaware North, monitor assigned tasks, recommend methods for continuous improvement, resolve data and process issues in collaboration with team associates, and participate in a variety of work assignments. This is a paid internship. Interns must be willing to work 15- 20 hours during the school year and full-time during the summer, on-site at our headquarters. Housing is not provided. Requirements

  • Enrolled as a college junior, senior, or master's student majoring in accounting, or a first-year MBA with a Tax concentration
  • Strong soft skills and a passion to learn multiple aspects of the Delaware North business
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically
  • Ability to work independently under direction and guidance
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with tax research tools, i.e., Bloomberg

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation of federal and state income tax returns
  • Assist with property and sales tax monthly accruals
  • Perform tax research for queries from the business units
  • Research and respond to state notices and assist with audits
  • Assist with the preparation of workpapers for the annual audit
