About The Position

The Tax Intern role offers college students hands-on experience supporting state and local tax compliance within a corporate finance environment. Working alongside experienced tax professionals, this fully remote internship provides exposure to real-world tax filings, research on tax law changes, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is designed to help students apply academic learning to practical work while building foundational skills for a future career in accounting, finance, or tax.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
Basic knowledge of accounting and tax concepts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to follow instructions, manage multiple tasks, and work independently or as part of a team
Ability to research tax topics and prepare written summaries or analysis
Experience preparing simple tax returns or tax-related documents
Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Availability to work full-time during the Summer (approximately May--August)

Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation of state and local income tax filings, including estimates, returns, and quarterly filings
Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Research current tax law changes related to assigned filings
Assist with tax-related documentation and analysis
Support special projects and ad hoc requests within the Tax department
Collaborate with team members while developing professional and technical skills
