About The Position

The CorVel Tax Team is looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Corporate Tax Intern to join our tax team for the upcoming summer. This internship is designed for students who want an opportunity to build a strong foundation in corporate tax while contributing to real‑world projects. This is a remote temporary position with preference for location in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area. This paid Internship runs for a 8-9 week period: ideally between June 15th – August 21st, 2026 but is flexible based off school start/ end dates.

Requirements

Currently be enrolled in either an undergraduate or graduate degree program or have recently obtained your degree (within the last 12 months) in Accounting or related field.
Interest in corporate tax and a base knowledge of accounting principles
Strong attention to detail
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize applicable Microsoft applications (specifically Excel) to meet work needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Effectively organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Assist and prepare tax return preparation: Support the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and related schedules
Perform tax research: Analyze regulations, rulings, and tax law changes to help the team interpret impacts on the business
Collaborate with tax professionals to gather necessary information and documents for tax projects
Help respond to internal requests for tax-related data
Participate in special projects: Contribute to process improvements, technology initiatives, and cross‑functional projects
Additional duties as assigned
