The Ohio Department of Taxation is responsible for the administration of individual and business taxes across the state. Requirements

  • Undergraduate core program in business related field or public administration which included 2 courses in accounting; 3 mos. exp. in customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the “front line” for customer service by taking phone calls, responding to emails and live chats, and face-to-face interaction at our Welcome Center.
  • Educate taxpayers by responding to written and verbal questions, attending outreach events, and helping create instructional materials.
  • Learn all aspects of the taxes administered by Taxation (such as individual income tax, business tax, or employer withholding).
