About The Position

The Tax intern will be responsible for assisting the U.S. income tax compliance team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the tax field. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, supporting a range of tax and accounting activities for our Yum! Brands. You will be required to attend the Louisville, KY office three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with focus in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Candidate looking for longer than 1 year commitment is preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with federal, state and local income tax notice responses.
• Assist with gathering tax return information to support third party service providers.
• Prepare federal and state quarterly excise tax returns.
• Provide federal and state audit support by gathering tax return and supporting workpaper data.
