About The Position

The Vacant Unit Tax (VUT) team is responsible for the administration of the VUT, building public awareness of the declaration process and ensuring Vacant residences are taxed accurately through timely billing and auditing of occupancy declarations. You are responsible for providing customer service and clerical support within the Vacant Unit Tax Unit of Revenue Services.

Requirements

  • Completion of Grade 12.
  • Minimum of 6 months of clerical and/or customer service experience.
  • Office/clerical and reception procedures
  • Municipal finance, assessment and property tax legislation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Corporate Records Management Program
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
  • English oral, reading, writing
