About The Position

Prosperity Partners (“Prosperity”) is a Chicago-headquartered public accounting firm offering best-in-class tax, accounting, and personal finance services to dynamic businesses, high net-worth individuals, and family offices. Established in 2005 as Danaher Attig & Plante PLC, our Vermont office joined forces with Prosperity Partners to enhance our depth of expertise and client service. We are seeking an energetic tax professional to support our fast-growing business. The candidate must have a strong work ethic, superb accounting skills, budding leadership qualities and excellent communication and client service skills. The candidate will work with a wide variety of company clients, from early-stage, fast-growth companies to high net worth families, and will participate in accounting and tax projects. Candidates will prepare business, individual and trust income tax returns, research and analyze complex tax issues, assist with complex merger and acquisition transactions, and respond to routine tax notices. Candidates should be able to multi-task, respond to demanding client needs and thrive in a deadline-driven industry. Requirements

  • Accounting Degree from an accredited four-year university
  • CPA designation or working to obtain CPA qualification
  • Prior accounting experience via full-time employment
  • A strong interest in taxation is important
  • Proven understanding of transactional accounting and entries and the ability to draft GAAP-based financial reports
  • Proficient in accounting/tax software programs such as Quickbooks, Intacct, Prosystem FX, and/or CCH Axcess is strongly preferred
  • Success in prior work experience with the ability to self-manage & prioritize assignments and client interface
  • A strong work ethic combined with a positive, collaborative attitude
  • Self-motivated and comfortable excelling in both solo and team driven environments
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Availability to work in the office at least 3 days per week
