Requirements

Accounting Degree from an accredited four-year university
CPA designation or working to obtain CPA qualification
Prior accounting experience via full-time employment. A strong interest in taxation is important
Proven understanding of transactional accounting and entries and the ability to draft GAAP-based financial reports
Success in prior work experience with the ability to self-manage & prioritize assignments and client interface
A strong work ethic combined with a positive, collaborative attitude
Self-motivated and comfortable excelling in both solo and team driven environments
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Availability to work in the office at least 2 days per week

Nice To Haves

Proficient in accounting/tax software programs such as Quickbooks, Intacct, Prosystem FX, and/or CCH Axcess is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Work with a wide variety of company clients, from early-stage, fast-growth companies to high net worth families
Participate in accounting and tax projects
Prepare business, individual and trust income tax returns
Research and analyze complex tax issues
Assist with complex merger and acquisition transactions
Respond to routine tax notices
Be able to multi-task, respond to demanding client needs and thrive in a deadline-driven industry
