About The Position

Orbiss is a modern advisory firm that helps international companies establish and scale their businesses in the United States. The firm has partnered with hundreds of founders and global businesses since 2020 and has a team of more than 60 across several locations. Orbiss is hiring a Tax Associate for its Corporate Tax team to prepare cross-border tax returns and develop international tax expertise. The role offers a real portfolio of work and collaboration with senior colleagues and managers on complex engagements. The position is open to applicants authorized to work in the United States.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Two to three years of international tax experience in a CPA firm.
• Proficiency in at least one tax software.
• Respect for deadlines and early communication when circumstances change.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team.
• High integrity and strong confidentiality instincts.
• U.S. work authorization required.
• CPA in progress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns for businesses with revenues ranging from $0 to $100 million across industries including technology, pharmaceuticals, marketing, and consumer products.
• Conduct state and local nexus analyses and calculate apportionment factors.
• Compute federal taxable income and identify book-to-tax differences.
• Work on international tax forms, including Forms 5472, 5471, 8865, 8858, 1042-S, and FinCEN 114.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues and managers on complex engagements.
