About The Position
The Tax Associate position is responsible for handling sales tax related tasks.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree (2-year) in Accounting or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Accounting or a related field required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Ability to multi-task and complete projects within specific deadlines
- Strong computer, presentation and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills

Responsibilities
- Prepare excise and sales and use tax related forms as assigned
- Process and mail all required paper tax filings
- Record tax payments and other related activity in accounting system
- Complete manual online tax submissions
- Assist with compiling audit documentation as needed
- Communicate frequently with management team, field operations, Regulatory Agencies, vendors, suppliers and other necessary outside organizations in respect to assigned areas
