Tax and Audit Associate - Summer 2027 - Nashville, TN
About The Position
CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Associates for its Nashville, Tennessee location, with an anticipated start date of June 2027. Associates prepare tax returns and perform audit and other assurance services while gaining experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems. They support multiple client engagements, develop industry knowledge through client and peer exposure and formal training, and communicate regularly with clients and CLA colleagues. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Eligible to sit for the CPA exam per state requirements.
- General knowledge of accounting principles and reporting of financial data.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
- Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
- Gain experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers, and systems.
- Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
- Expand industry knowledge through exposure to peers and clients and formal training opportunities.
- Complete research and special projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with clients and CLA family members.
