About The Position

Cloudflare is seeking a Tax Analyst to join their collaborative team. This position will have a broad range of responsibilities with a primary focus on income tax. The role involves reporting to the Senior Director of Tax and collaborating with other members of the tax and finance teams, as well as cross-functional business partners. The company emphasizes a culture of innovation, leveraging AI, and continuous improvement, seeking builders who can identify and solve problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2+ years of significant experience at a public accounting firm and/or corporate tax department of a multinational company
  • Proficient in Excel and AI technology
  • Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and inquisitive
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively internally as well as with external service providers

Nice To Haves

  • Masters in Tax or Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Both public accounting and technology industry experience
  • Experience with Oracle and AI

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly and annual income tax provision and forecast
  • Work with internal and external partners to help manage U.S. federal, state and local income tax filings
  • Assist with M&A transactions, focusing on tax due diligence and post-merger integration
  • Assist with analysis and preparation of stock based compensation models
  • Assist with ad hoc requests and projects as necessary, including but not limited to tax research projects, R&D tax credit studies, etc
  • Drive the digital transformation of our tax function, identifying and executing process improvements through technology, automation, and AI
  • The role could evolve into 80/20 percent direct/indirect taxes
