About The Position

The Tax and Financial Reporting Department is a small, close group focused on Tax Compliance and Financial Reporting. They foster an open culture with an emphasis on teaching, aiming to grow and support Texas Health Resources as the strongest regional healthcare system in North Texas. This role will lead the preparation of reporting and filing of required tax filings, address requests from governmental agencies, conduct research and consultation on tax matters unique to tax-exempt healthcare organizations, serve as a key point of contact to general accounting for tax implications, support leadership in addressing tax matters related to structuring joint ventures and other relationships, and provide support on specialty areas of accounting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• 5 Years Relevant work experience
• CPA - Certified Public Accountant Upon Hire
• Financial literacy

Responsibilities

• Leads preparation of reporting and filing of required tax filings; this includes addressing any requests from governmental agencies.
• Conducts research, consultation and oversight on tax matters unique to tax-exempt healthcare organizations.
• Serves as a key point of contact to general accounting to address tax implications.
• Supports leadership to address tax matters and implications as they relate to the structuring of joint ventures, affiliates and other types of relationships with other tax-exempt and for-profit organizations.
• Provides support on specialty areas on accounting.
