About The Position

The Tax Analyst I position is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office at our Aurora, Colorado location. The salary range is $70,000.00 - $80,000.00, depending on experience, with a 10% bonus opportunity. The application deadline is initially June 22, 2026, but may be extended or closed early if a sufficient pool of qualified applicants is obtained. This role involves preparing and filing various tax returns, managing business licenses and secretary of state filings, validating exemption certificates, collaborating with customers, responding to tax notices, assisting with audits, and performing special projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
2 year’s relevant experience in tax research, tax return preparation, auditing or filing sales and use tax returns
The ability to exercise considerable judgement in tax issues and filings
Working knowledge of Exemption Certificate Management systems
Working knowledge of sales and use taxation

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of SAP and manufacturing industry a plus
Working knowledge of Avalara is a plus

Responsibilities

Preparing and filing timely tax returns for a given segment of the business to the proper taxing authorities for property tax, multi-state income/franchise taxes, sales/use taxes, GST/VAT taxes and gross receipts
Performing duties related to the issuances and renewals of business licenses and updating all secretary of state filings
Validating and processing exemption certificates for all tax exempt entities, with the ability to understand and support the determination of proper taxability of products and services sold to customers
Working with external and internal customers in a collaborative approach to establish and maintain good working relationships
Responding to tax jurisdiction notices and inquiries
Assisting and supporting with tax audits
Special project work as needed
