About The Position

SSC CPAs + Advisors is adding a Tax + Advisory Services Manager position to join our growing employee-owned company. We are seeking a curious and experienced professional to serve as part of their most trusted advisor team at SSC. The Tax + Advisory Services Manager position will be a key leadership position within our Norman market and will be an active participant in our management team and companywide tax team. You will provide proactive tax consulting + planning, compliance reviews, and in-depth research services for a diverse group of clients and industries. You will also help recruit, mentor, and develop the talent within the tax + advisory services team.

Requirements

• CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
• 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal and customer relationship skills are a must.
• Must be involved in the community.
• Ability to develop additional business and services for our clients.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Licensed CPA in good standing required.
• At least 5 years of recent public accounting experience with an emphasis in tax.
• Proficient in corporate, individual and partnership taxation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational techniques are required.
• Must be highly motivated.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Requires reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• Industry experience in real estate, construction, or manufacturing is considered a plus.
• Previous experience supervising and training Staff and Seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive tax consulting + planning, compliance reviews, and in-depth research services for a diverse group of clients and industries.
• Help recruit, mentor, and develop the talent within the tax + advisory services team.
• Manage multiple client engagements.
• Attain visibility and recognition within their industry specialization.
