Requirements

  • Previous experience in a public accounting firm or professional services environment
  • Comfortable interacting directly with clients in a professional setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
  • Team-oriented with a willingness to support others as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of tax return processing and workflows
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with tax software and practice management systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage the intake, organization, and tracking of client tax documents throughout the return lifecycle
  • Assemble and prepare tax returns and supporting documentation within internal workflow systems
  • Monitor return status, ensuring timely progression and adherence to filing deadlines
  • Coordinate e-file submissions, extensions, and required documentation with accuracy and compliance
  • Provide day-to-day administrative and workflow support to the Tax Administrative Director
  • Maintain and update client data within tax and practice management systems
  • Serve as a primary client contact for document requests, status updates, and general inquiries
  • Organize, scan, and securely maintain digital and physical client files in accordance with firm standards
  • Support tax operations, including workflow coordination, process improvements, and administrative tasks as needed
