About The Position

Join a highly respected Professional Services Firm that genuinely cares for its associates. This fun and fast paced position reports directly to our Managing Director. The tax division is relatively new, so you will help shape this division and position based on your prior experience. You will interact with Trenton clients and associates to provide tax accounting and tax services to our clients.

Requirements

• Experience filing taxes, tax reduction strategies, and experience working with the IRS on tax payments, POAs and estimated taxes.
• Executive level decision making and communication skills.
• Takes initiative to solve company and client problems.
• Information gathering and monitoring skills.
• Problem analysis and problem solving.
• Confidential treatment of sensitive issues.
• Organizational and planning skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Technology oriented.
• Word and Excel experience.
• Minimum of three years experience in filing taxes, tax reduction advice and IRS interactions.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Experience with ProConnect (or other tax preparation tools).

Responsibilities

• Filing 1120, 1065, 990, 1040 tax forms.
• Help shape the new tax division and position based on prior experience.
• Interact with Trenton clients and associates to provide tax accounting and tax services.
• Assist with or learn about accounting reviews, cash management, forecasting, reporting, KPIs, and expense reduction opportunities.
