About The Position

Certified Public Accounting firm is seeking an experienced CPA/Accountant with a minimum of six (6) years of taxation experience within a public accounting setting. We are looking for a self-motivated, talented, individual who will contribute to our team and grow with our firm. The ideal candidate will be organized, work effectively with staff and clients, and will have excellent time management skills. We are looking for individuals who pursue their interest in professional growth and would look forward to advancement opportunities with our firm. This role involves the preparation of Federal and State returns using common forms such as 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, and 990. Communication with clients will be through email, telephone, and regular mail.

Requirements

• Accounting degree.
• 6 plus years experience preparing tax returns for individual and entity clients.
• Tax software operating skills.
• Writing, math and communication skills need to be at a high level.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook is required.
• Must be able to work in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

• A CPA certificate is highly desired upon hiring and will be required within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Federal and State returns using the following common forms: 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 1120S, 990
• Communication through email, telephone and regular mail with clients.
• Perform bookkeeping and accounting functions.
