Join us as a Tax Accountant I and help us do what we do best: propelling business forward. This will be a hybrid role working between your home office and our Burlington MA headquarters. The Tax Accountant will be part of a six person tax department and their primary responsibilities will include non-income based taxes and other regulatory filings. They will also gain exposure to state, local, and federal income taxation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Excel & Word
  • Strong analytical, verbal/written communication and organizational skills
  • Self motivated with ability to work independently and own processes with multiple deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file sales & use tax and VAT returns for multiple jurisdictions in the US, Canada and Europe.
  • Analyze and reconcile sales tax liability accounts
  • Perform research and monitor states for changes in sales tax regulations
  • Prepare and file property tax returns, annual reports and business licenses as well as other non-income based returns
  • Respond to notices from state tax authorities
  • Assist with audits by state tax authorities
  • Perform technical tax research to support tax positions
  • Collaborate with finance and sales teams to address sales tax related matters
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
  • Assist with preparation of supporting workpapers for federal and state tax returns including R&D and foreign tax credit
  • Leverage AI technologies to optimize and streamline tax processes and workflows
