Requirements

  • Current and valid state Registered Nurse license.
  • Current BCLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of Cardiac related experience, ICU experience, or Heart Valve experience preferred.
  • Demonstrates leadership, communication, team building skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Director of Cardiac Services, the TAVR Program Manager is a Registered Nurse who assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility overseeing the process of receiving and reviewing referrals for candidates for TAVR/structural heart therapy.
  • Facilitate a multidisciplinary team approach in the delivery of care of the TAVR patient and participate in the development of treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists, referring physicians, and the multidisciplinary TAVR team.
  • It is the responsibility of the Program Manager to ensure that the patient/family has been contacted and received explanations of the process and work-up to ensure a seamless patient care experience; provide education and support throughout the TAVR process and continued follow-up post TAVR implant.
  • Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensure maintenance of established electronic database and submission of national registry requirements.
  • Serves as a liaison among staff, physicians, and administration to ensure coordination of care and effective utilization of resources to optimize patient outcomes.
