About The Position
Join Gray Monk Estate Winery as a Tasting and Retail Associate, where you’ll play a vital role in creating exceptional guest experiences. As a spirited brand ambassador, you'll educate clients about our wines, encourage sales, and inspire Wine Club memberships—all while embodying the essence of our brand. This is a seasonal position, running from May to mid-October 2026. Requirements
- A genuine passion for customer service, with a focus on building lasting relationships.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to make wine education accessible and enjoyable.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high service standards.
- A positive, “Can Do” attitude, especially under pressure.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is preferred.
- Wine knowledge or certifications (e.g., WSET 2/3, ISG/CAPS, CMS) is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential!
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and create inclusive introductions.
- Gauge guests' wine knowledge and interests to tailor their experience.
- Present and explain wine flights, sharing engaging stories about our wines, Wine Club, restaurant, events, and exclusive experiences.
- Assist guests with packaging purchases, organizing shipments, and providing information on gift sets and accessories.
- Actively work towards achieving individual and team sales goals.
- Promote Wine Club memberships, encouraging loyalty and ongoing engagement.
