About The Position

The Task Lead (TL) delivers operational excellence in support of sales drivers and an exceptional guest experience. The role keeps fixtures stocked, maintains store cleanliness, completes assigned tasks, supports omni-channel processes, and performs select manager-related functions on the MIA device, including Inventory Adjustments. The TL supports the Merchandise Manager and Operations Manager by focusing on operational performance, teammates and guests, and compliance with processes and procedures. Attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures are required. The TL contributes to store goals by ensuring tasks are completed as planned and merchandise is available for purchase. They help train Task Associates and other associates, collaborate with store teams, and support operational processes such as shipment, replenishment, merchandise sets, inventory procedures, and Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store. The position requires a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays, as well as frequent movement and physical activity throughout the store.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
Two years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
Proven ability to delegate, multitask, and problem-solve.
Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for operational excellence.
Demonstrated experience exceeding tasking goals and training new hires.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, overnights, and holidays.
Ability to perform continuous mobility and coordination and frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting during a shift.
Ability to continuously or frequently lift, carry, or move up to 25 pounds during a shift.

Responsibilities

Help meet or exceed store retail goals by ensuring tasks are executed as planned and products are available for purchase.
Meet compliance and execution goals for the task dashboard and complete operational processes on time, including shipment, replenishment, merchandise sets, inventory counts, and inventory procedures.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Contribute to an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and internal and external guests.
Participate in ongoing training, including brand and category education.
Assist in training new Task Associates and cross-training other associates in tasking.
Engage and influence peers to support productivity and performance.
Collaborate with managers and associates throughout the store to help grow the business.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using company technology and best practices.
Perform select manager-related functions within the MIA device, including Inventory Adjustments.
Assist with omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
Keep assigned work areas replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
Maintain store standards and cleanliness in the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention best practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
