About The Position

TDX – a joint-venture partnership between TI Verbatim Consulting (TIVC) and Dexis – is recruiting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for an anticipated requirement with the United States Special Operation Command (USSOCOM) J3-International (J3-I) Division. This role will provide support to the J3-I mission, accelerate collaboration and interoperability between international Special Operations partners to more effectively deter in competition, respond in crisis, and prevail in conflict. The Directorate of Operations (J3) provides fully capable Special Operations Forces (SOF) to defend the United States and its interests and synchronizes planning of global operations against terrorist networks. Within J3, the J3-I Division enhances interoperability, strengthens alliances, and advances partnerships across the global SOF enterprise consistent with the National Defense Strategy and Commander USSOCOM guidance and priorities. The J3-I Division is a mixed organization consisting of US military, US government service personnel, and SOF officers and senior enlisted representatives from thirty nations. The J3-I Division also manages USSOCOM’s network of Special Operations Liaison Officers (SOLOs) currently assigned to 22 countries worldwide. The Task Lead/Senior International SOF Support SME will act as the single point of contact to the government in the oversight and day-to-day management and administration of project tasks, including but not limited to develop detailed work plans and schedules in support of the J3-I mission and objectives, assign contractor personnel responsibilities, and manage contractor travel/surge hours. The Task Lead shall also perform quality checks of all work products, interact continually with the J3-I government lead, COR, and any appointed Technical Representatives to present interim results, discuss concerns, and ensure total product/service satisfaction and successful transition of all phased-in requirements. This position is based in Tampa, Florida, is contingent upon contract award, and requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. In addition to the Task Lead duties above, this role will also perform as the Senior International SOF Support SME.

Requirements

  • Senior (O5 or above) Army Special Forces officer with 15 years combined experience in operations and PN development at O6-command, TSOC, or NATO SOF HQ level.
  • Master’s degree in international relations or related field
  • Graduate of School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or equivalent military planning course.
  • 1-year recent (last 5 years) combat/operational experience as part of combine joint special operations task force or TSOC staff
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with coalition SOF partners
  • Joint Professional Military Education Level II or equivalent graduate
  • Current DoW Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice, insights, and experience concerning international SOF support to all elements of the J3-I.
  • Assist and advise J3-I leadership in the management of the overall J3-I program of work to meet Commander USSOCOM objectives and priorities.
  • Participate and facilitate J3-I strategic planning.
  • Support the functional SMEs in maintaining timely / accurate global awareness and assisting in the integration of Partner Nation (PN) SOF capabilities and organization into plans, operations, crisis response to critical events, and capability development and readiness events across SOF Enterprise.
  • Develop measures of performance and measures of success for J3-I.
  • When required, mentor international SOF officers and senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on USSOCOM, its components, operational headquarters, and SOF culture.
  • Perform close-out and escort duties as part of the Division’s Security Procedure.
