About The Position

DecisionPoint Corporation is seeking experienced International SOF Integration and Assessment SMEs to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) J3 International Support program. The International SOF Integration and Assessment SME will provide strategic advisory support focused on international partner integration, policy development, assessment, and security cooperation. This position supports USSOCOM's efforts to strengthen Special Operations Forces (SOF) partnerships by evaluating partner nation capabilities, facilitating international agreements, supporting interagency coordination, and advancing multinational integration initiatives. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience working within the Department of State, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), U.S. Embassies, Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs), or other Federal organizations supporting international diplomacy, foreign assistance, and national security. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor on international engagement strategies, policy development, and partner nation assessments while collaborating with senior military leaders, diplomats, and interagency stakeholders. This position is onsite at USSOCOM Headquarters, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility required.
  • Master's degree in International Relations, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience supporting international affairs, diplomacy, security cooperation, or foreign policy initiatives.
  • Graduate of the U.S. Department of State Foreign Service Institute (FSI) or an equivalent U.S. military program of instruction.
  • Experience serving as a Foreign Service Officer (FSO) or Foreign Area Officer (FAO) with at least ten (10) years of experience supporting a U.S. Embassy Country Team, deployed development mission, Department of State, U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), or comparable organization.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience supporting policy development, international agreements, and strategic planning within a Federal agency, Geographic Combatant Command (GCC), or Military Service Headquarters.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience or academic coursework supporting negotiations involving international agreements, including Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), or similar diplomatic or security cooperation agreements.
  • Experience supporting multinational organizations, partner nation engagement, and interagency coordination.
  • Experience preparing strategic assessments, policy recommendations, and executive-level decision support products.
  • International relations, diplomacy, and foreign policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic analysis and subject matter expertise supporting international SOF integration and partner nation capability assessments.
  • Support development and implementation of international engagement strategies, security cooperation initiatives, and multinational integration efforts.
  • Conduct assessments of partner nation capabilities, interoperability, and operational effectiveness to support USSOCOM objectives.
  • Advise Government leadership on international policy, diplomatic engagement, security cooperation, and foreign partner integration.
  • Coordinate with the Department of State, USAID, Geographic Combatant Commands (GCCs), U.S. Embassies, allied governments, and multinational organizations.
  • Support development, coordination, and review of international agreements, Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs), Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), and related policy documentation.
  • Prepare executive briefings, assessments, strategic reports, white papers, and decision support products for senior military and civilian leadership.
  • Analyze regional political, economic, and security conditions to inform strategic planning and international engagement efforts.
  • Support negotiations involving international agreements, partner nation initiatives, and multinational collaboration.
  • Collaborate with interagency, coalition, and international partners to strengthen relationships and improve operational integration.
  • Support knowledge management, continuity of operations, and organizational collaboration across the J3 International Division.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. Government policies governing international cooperation, information sharing, and security.
