About The Position

Supporting the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW R&E) offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with the opportunity to deliver next-generation technical capabilities to the warfighter. AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking an experienced Task Lead with a background in Battle Management, Command and Control (BM/C2) systems to support a new Directorate focused on this technology area. Your role will involve coordination of project schedules and activities across various resource sponsors and development partners; organization skills are critical to your success. You will have the opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department’s most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or engineering discipline and 12+ years of related work experience is required
  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to obtain a security clearance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RDT&E program maturity levels and development cycles.
  • Comfortable communicating across various mediums to include oral presentations, written documents, PowerPoint briefings, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and provides recommendations on technical program development, testing, and demonstration
  • Coordinates with user community representatives concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.
  • Analyzes the conduct and results of operational test events and exercises to demonstrate capabilities.
  • Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives.
  • Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems.
  • Consolidates program status and milestone information with funding data to evaluate and report on overall program development activities.
