About The Position

Rigid Tactical is seeking a highly qualified Task Lead and Senior International Special Operations Forces (SOF) Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) International Special Operations Support mission. The purpose of this task is to provide comprehensive support to the J3-I mission, accelerating collaboration and interoperability between international Special Operations partners to more effectively deter in competition, respond in crisis, and prevail in conflict. Due to the size and complexity of this requirement, the Task Lead will serve as the government’s single point of contact from the contractor, overseeing day-to-day management while simultaneously providing senior-level international SOF strategic expertise. Employment is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in Special Operations forces (SOF) operations and Partner Nation (PN) development.
  • Must be a Senior Army Special Forces Officer ( O-5 or above ).
  • Demonstrated experience operating at the O-6 command level, Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC), or NATO SOF HQ level.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in International Relations, National Security Studies, Strategic Intelligence, or a closely related field.
  • Graduate of the School of Advanced Military Studies (SAMS) or an equivalent premier military planning course (e.g., SAASS, SAW, JAWS).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last 5 years) combat or operational deployment experience as part of a Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (CJSOTF) or TSOC staff.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience working collaboratively with coalition SOF partners or within a multinational framework.
  • Graduate of Joint Professional Military Education Level II (JPME II) or a verified equivalent senior service college curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform all day-to-day management and administration of project tasks.
  • Develop detailed work plans and schedules in support of the J3-I mission and objectives.
  • Assign contractor personnel responsibilities, manage contractor travel, and effectively manage contractor surge hours.
  • Perform rigorous quality checks of all work products to ensure total product and service satisfaction.
  • Interact continually with the J3-I government lead, Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), and any appointed Technical Representatives to present interim results, discuss concerns, and ensure successful transition of all phased-in requirements.
  • Provide advice, insights, and experience concerning international SOF support to all elements of the J3-I.
  • Assist and advise J3-I leadership in the management of the overall J3-I program of work to meet Commander USSOCOM objectives and priorities.
  • Actively participate in and facilitate J3-I strategic planning sessions.
  • Support functional SMEs in maintaining timely and accurate global awareness.
  • Assist in the integration of Partner Nation (PN) SOF capabilities and organization into plans, operations, crisis response to critical events, and capability development/readiness events across the SOF Enterprise.
  • Develop definitive measures of performance (MOPs) and measures of success (MOSs) for J3-I.
  • When required, mentor international SOF officers and senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) on USSOCOM, its components, operational headquarters, and SOF culture.
  • Perform critical close-out and escort duties as part of the Division’s Security Procedure.
