About The Position

Nightwing is seeking a cleared and experienced Task Area Lead. Task Area Leads are responsible for planning, leading, organizing, managing and executing all work being delivered to the customer as defined in the contract scope of work as allocated to the appropriate Task Area. The Task Area Lead reports to the PMO, and is responsible for directly supporting the customer and meeting the reporting and requirements of the PMO, and engaging with subcontractors, vendors and program resources as appropriate. Provides management level program leadership and administrative support for a mission focused Task Area. Coordinates daily with the customer and assigned resources.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a managerial role with mission-focused deliverables and which required significant understanding of OCONUS travel.
• Knowledge of field unique IT / communications / O&M as it relates to Customer unique environments
• Experience with OCONUS Travel and overseas assignments and unique/austere environments.
• Ability to address specific management practices of Customer needs, vendor capabilities, operational activities and project timelines when planning and executing Communications/O&M projects.
• Must have strong organizational and communications skills.
• Must be responsive to Customer needs; identify risk and provide mitigation strategies as they arise
• Must be able to provide program management, appropriate direction and leadership to a diverse team of staff /contractors.
• Must know how to prepare and respond to cable traffic, coordinate/facilitate travel arrangements and be the focal point for communications, operations and maintenance requirements and deliverables.
• Must have experience providing day-to-day management of program activities including tracking labor, cost, schedules and security issues/requirements.
• Must have experience tracking and reporting financial data (labor cost, planned vs. actual budgets and expenditures)
• Ability to brief Customer of program related issues / status / operations / planning etc.
• Experience facilitating communication between Customer, engineers and end users.
• Technical and programmatic documentation writing skills
• Proficient with the Microsoft suite applications
• 16+ years Professional Experience
• Bachelors Degree
• Yes, Equivalent Experience can be Substituted for Educational Requirement
• No, Weapons Certification Required
• None, Professional License or Certification Required
• TS / SCI with Polygraph Clearance

• PMP Certification
• Customer experience as a TISO, PM or SI
• Experience with Business Development concepts

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the tracking of all office personnel assignments/ travel /deliverables – track location, dates, job, cable concurrences / shipments prior to travel, receipt, surveys, trip reports, follow-up etc.
• Provide the Customer with regular status reports for each tasking/assignment
• Ensure the tracking of all office personnel certifications, training and credentials (passports, CAC cards, visas, OMS and other documentation required for travel)
• Record all office personnel contact info and keep current records (monthly updates) for accuracy.
• Assist in “bottom up” monthly EACs to most accurately project Program cost.
• Be the primary contact to the Customer for all contract technical, cost and scheduling with in the assigned Task Area
• Ensure the security constraints of the project and reports are strictly adhered to.
• Ensure that all work performed is of the highest quality and meets the standards of the Customer needs within funding, timing and staffing constraints.
• Support ad hoc briefings and technical discussions and prepare meeting minutes, notes, and briefing materials as directed by the Customer.
• Ensure all contractors work together as a team and in support of Customer mission.
• Provide monthly Task Area Highlights for the Customer and Raytheon PMRs
