About The Position

Aperio Global is seeking a Target Digital Network Analyst 2 (TDNA) to support an Intelligence Community (IC) program in Fort Meade, Maryland. This role involves conducting analysis of collection and open-source data to ensure target continuity, profile targets and their activities, and develop techniques for gaining more target information. The analyst will utilize principles and methods of exploiting foreign communications and systems to identify, collect, analyze, process, and disseminate information according to established requirements. Responsibilities include analyzing data for reportable intelligence, building target profiles, maintaining databases for targeting and analysis, performing sustained target analysis using DNI and DNR techniques, identifying new access development opportunities, and conducting research using open-source and classified sources to create baseline profiles of target sets. The role also requires identifying intelligence gaps and evaluating gathered intelligence to tailor current collection or enable new collection. Additionally, the analyst will run complex queries using various tools, leverage collection opportunities, share information about new collection resources, and review scripts/traffic for leads or complementary data.

Requirements

  • Current TS/SCI with Polygraph required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Equivalent Combination of experience and education may be considered.
  • Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) degrees may be considered relevant if the programs contain the amount and type of coursework equivalent to a Computer Science (CS) major.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Conducting advanced analysis of collection and open-source data to generate insights and leads, ensure target continuity, profile targets and their activities, and develop techniques to gain additional target information.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Maintaining appropriate databases for targeting, tasking, and analysis.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Developing comprehensive baseline profiles of designated target sets.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Identifying intelligence gaps to tailor current collection or enable new collection to close the gaps.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Employing multiple analysis disciplines such as pattern recognition against targets' communications, network usage and digital footprints.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Applying knowledge and understanding of IC needs and missions, as well as the targets’ culture, behaviors, and communications technologies.
  • Relevant TDNA experience includes: Mentoring other analysts on the tools and methodologies used to conduct TDNA.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of collection and open-source data to ensure target continuity, to profile targets and their activities, and develop techniques to gain more target information.
  • Analyze DNI data for reportable intelligence information and building target profiles.
  • Maintain appropriate databases for targeting, tasking, and analysis.
  • Perform sustained target analysis and enhancement through the use of DNI and DNR analytic techniques.
  • Analyze DNI data to identify new access development opportunities for follow-on collection requirements.
  • Perform research using open-source and classified sources to develop comprehensive baseline profiles of designated target sets.
  • Identify intelligence gaps and evaluate the intelligence gathered in order to either tailor current collection or enable new collection to close the gaps.
  • Run complex queries using a variety of different tools.
  • Utilize knowledge on running queries, using different tools or tasking selectors so as to take advantage of all available collection opportunities.
  • Take advantage of new collection resources and share this information with others who would benefit from it.
  • Take initiative to review scripts/traffic from other streams of collection to look for leads or complementing data to enhance the overall story.
