About The Position

Vishay is seeking applicants for an Assembler 1 in the Tape and Reel area. The Assembler 1 is responsible for the packing of electronic components. This role offers an opportunity to enhance manufacturing skills by working in multiple areas within the Assembly Department. The Assembler 1 will handle, test, and inspect small electrical components. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Ability to look at parts as small as 1/32” in size under magnification.
• Excellent eye-hand coordination and good manual dexterity.
• High value on quality work and detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Fast learner.
• Ability to perform work under a microscope and able to identify defects.
• Computer experience required.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.
• Must qualify as a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) due to access to information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or the Export Administration Regulations.

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of experience in production/manufacturing/machine operation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate a manual tape and reel machine.
• Read and interpret instructions on the traveler and customer specifications to process the order.
• Handle small electrical components.
• Visually inspect product using a microscope and tweezers and document the results.
• Perform tasks that may vary requiring flexibility and versatility, such as cover assembly, electrical tests, visual inspection, packaging, and other miscellaneous functions.
• Record work performed using computer skills.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned work area.
