About The Position

Lactalis USA is hiring a Tank Room Operator in Buffalo, New York. The role is responsible for maintaining and sanitizing silos, milk lines, cream lines, blend lines, whey lines, separators, and cream tanks. The operator cleans and inspects equipment, replaces worn components, handles scheduled samples, and maintains a clean and orderly tank room. This is a third-shift position.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of computer software.
Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate averages.

Nice To Haves

Dairy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manually disassemble and clean samplers, activators, and valves.
Check and replace worn gaskets and O-rings.
Replace QMI samplers when needed, at least once per week.
Inspect silos and initial them before reassembling; check the titrations document.
Empty and wash silos every 72 hours.
Clean whey separators with a wash daily.
Ensure whey and cream samples are delivered to the laboratory on schedule every two hours.
Clean all milk, cream, whey, and blend lines at the end of each day.
Check with the Supervisor for silo rotation for pasteurization.
Maintain cleanliness in the tank room, including rolling up hoses, sanitizing pipes, and capping ports.
