About The Position

Lactalis USA is hiring a Tank Room Operator in Buffalo, New York. The role is responsible for the proper maintenance and sanitization of silos, milk lines, cream lines, blend lines, whey lines, separators, and cream tanks. The position is identified as third shift. The operator manually disassembles and cleans samplers, activators, and valves; checks and replaces worn gaskets and O-rings; and replaces QMI samplers as needed, at least once per week. The operator inspects and initials silos before reassembly, checks titration documentation, empties and washes silos every 72 hours, and cleans whey separators daily. The role also ensures whey and cream samples are delivered to the laboratory every two hours, cleans milk, cream, whey, and blend lines at the end of each day, coordinates silo rotation for pasteurization with the supervisor, and maintains a clean tank room.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Ability to work well with others.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Knowledge of computer software.
Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate averages.

Dairy experience preferred.

Responsibilities
