About The Position

This position is for a student participating in PSC's Tankering Career Academy (TCA) to gain hands-on experience in barge transfer operations. The student will assist credentialed Tank Barge PICs during cargo transfer, lineups, and safety checks, observing and learning proper procedures for product transfer, documentation, and regulatory compliance. The role involves completing assigned coursework, on-the-job training, and safety certifications as part of the development program, while demonstrating consistent adherence to company safety standards and marine regulations. The job may involve exposure to chemicals, fumes, and odors typical of an industrial facility, and requires the ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Requirements

• Speak, write, read fluent English. Hear and have good vision
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
• Work may involve protected and monitored exposure to chemicals, fumes, odors, or other environmental conditions typical of an industrial facility
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
• Lift 60 to 80 pounds to waist and carry up to 300 feet
• Grip/hold/pull 80 pounds
• Walk one to four miles per job
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Step as much as two feet horizontal and vertical
• Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting

Responsibilities
