About The Position
The Commercial Dump (Tandem) Truck Driver will drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a tandem truck
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Must complete both required applications (questionnaire and DOT application)
- Provide personal information
- Provide driver’s license details (number, state, expiration date, type, endorsements, hazmat expiration)
- Provide licenses in other states in the past 3 years
- Provide 36 months of residency history
- Provide 3 years of employment history
- Provide details of accidents and violations in the last 3 years
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Operate a tandem truck to transport materials to and from job sites
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members
